Concept & design for Gather's launch cocktail book
For Gather, a modern family bar rooted in happiness and togetherness, we wanted to create a cocktail menu that felt deeply personal and familiar. The idea was to evoke the warmth and joy of gatherings with loved ones, for those in Pune city.

Each cocktail was a tribute to these connections, transforming everyday experiences into something playful and celebratory. From reunions with old friends to spontaneous nights out with new ones, the menu was designed to create an instant bond between the diners and the space.
Naming
What’s a gathering without a little inside humor? Each cocktail was given a cheeky name that resonated with Pune’s community. These names felt like little winks to the city’s residents, drawing inspiration from their shared experiences.
Take, for instance, Bumping into an Ex with Your Next, a nod to the small-world charm of Pune, where such encounters are almost inevitable. Or 4 AM with Randoms, capturing the essence of those unplanned nights when strangers turn into friends over conversations that run deep.
These relatable, tongue-in-cheek names brought a layer of personality to the menu, making each drink feel like part of a shared story.
Illustration Style
The illustration style was a direct reflection of Gather’s OME: happiness. We custom-created digitally hand-drawn illustrations for each cocktail, keeping the vibe relaxed, informal, and downright delightful. Each design was carefully crafted to bring a smile to the diner’s face.
Communication Design
When it came to structuring the menu, simplicity was key. The layout was clean, with descriptions, prices, flavour profiles and potency levels uniformly placed for easy readability and quick decision-making.
By keeping the design minimal yet engaging, we ensured the menu wasn’t just a tool for
ordering—it was a memorable part of the guest experience.
