Along came Afshaa
Nestled in the heart of Bandra, Pomodoro is a pasta bar that redefines the way we experience pasta. Created by Afshaa, a passionate chef and first-time restaurateur, Pomodoro challenges the typical perception of pasta as heavy, cheesy, and indulgent. Instead, it celebrates pasta in its purest form- fresh, simple, and vibrant, just like she discovered on her culinary journey through Italy.

Research & Insights
Understanding Bandra’s fast-evolving food culture was key to shaping Pomodoro’s brand identity. We conducted in-depth research to uncover the mindset of the area’s diners.
Pasta, reimagined
While pasta is beloved, it often carries outdated associations of being heavy and rich. There was an opportunity to introduce a fresh perspective.
A neighborhood feel matters
Bandra’s diners love places that feel like an extension of their own homes, where they can linger, feel like regulars, and return time and again.
Product-first approach
Great food and drinks win over trends. While aesthetic spaces grab attention, it’s the authenticity of the offering that builds long-term loyalty.
Newness keeps things exciting
Limited-edition specials and seasonal menus resonate well with Bandra’s experimental audience.
Brand Positioning
Inspired by the energy of Bandra and the simplicity of great Italian food, we positioned Pomodoro as a neighborhood pasta haven- approachable, lively, and effortlessly cool.
At Pomodoro, pasta is not just a meal; it’s an everyday essential. The menu reflects this ethos, bringing light, fresh, and hand-rolled pasta into the spotlight, alongside a thoughtfully crafted coffee program. It’s the kind of place that welcomes you whether you’re dining solo, out on a date, or gathering with friends.
We intentionally steered away from overused narratives of pasta being “comfort food” or indulgent. Instead, Pomodoro embodies a modern, fresh take, one that aligns with the way people actually want to eat today.
