Located in Pune’s old neighbourhood of Deccan, Gather is a modern family restaurant focusing on the communal nature of dining. While many new establishments in this area have focused on catering to the students from nearby educational institutes, Gather stands out as an inclusive space where people of all ages & backgrounds can enjoy good food, delightful drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere to create memorable moments.

Research & Strategy
Once the location for the new restaurant was finalised, we conducted thorough market research in the vicinity to understand customer profile & preferences, by interacting with >500 people.
And here’s what we heard:
“Our parents don’t like dining in boring places anymore”
“When we go out, we are not just looking for great food but quality cocktails as well - for which we have to travel a bit.”
“Indian food isn’t dated, we still go out and like to order Indian.”
“We want a good coffee place but with good food, not just coffee snacks.”
“We don’t like going to places that are full of very young people.”
“We don’t like super loud places when we do out drinking, we don’t want to dance.”

Brand Naming &
Perception Study
The name Gather was chosen to reflect the brand’s vision of creating an inviting space where guests come together over food, drinks, and conversation.
We also conducted a sentiment analysis by engaging 60 individuals, including women entrepreneurs, creatives, and food enthusiasts, to gauge their perceptions. Their feedback provided valuable insights, ensuring an informed choice that resonated with our target audience.

To introduce the new venue to their target audience even before the official launch, we launched a unique initiative called Undone.
We strategically pre-selected guests based on their location and dining preferences and offered them an exclusive, product-centric experience in a raw yet authentic setting, resulting in:
